Professor John G Laffey, MD, MA, BSc, FCARCSI
Biography: John Laffey is the Professor and Head of the Department of Anaesthesia at the National University of Ireland, and a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine at Galway University Hospitals. His clinical interests include intensive care medicine, cardiothoracic and vascular anaesthesia, paediatric anaesthesia and acute pain medicine. He is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate education in Perioperative and Critical Care Medicine at the National University of Ireland, Galway. He is a principal investigator at the National Centre for Biomedical Engineering Sciences at the National University of Ireland, Galway.
