ENGINEERING THE EXTRAORDINARY: GALWAY’S ROLE IN THE GLOBAL PANDEMIC

Prof Ciarán Ó hÓgartaigh, NUI Galway invites you to join a special recognition event with Medtronic CEO Geoff Martha at 10am on Friday, 3rd December at The O’Donoghue Theatre, NUI Galway 

As a global medtech hub, Galway played a significant role in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. At the heart of the Medtronic’s global ventilator response was their Mervue manufacturing plant, which increased production 5X in four months. Geoff Martha, Medtronic CEO and other guests will discuss the successes and learnings from the pandemic, and announce a number of local partnerships to recognise the support of the Galway community.

A valid COVID-19 vaccine certificate or other proof of immunity is required for this event. There is limited paid parking on the grounds of NUI Galway. On-street parking is available nearby.

 There is pay and display parking available at the Galway Cathedral. Please park on the grounds of the Cathedral.
