We are delighted to announcement the upcoming International Conference of the EAFP, to be held in Dublin, Ireland from 10th - 14th September, 2001. For more information on the venue and programme have a look at the 2nd Announcement posted on this site. Over the coming months up-to-date information on this event will be posted here, so why not add us to your 'Favourites Folder' for your convenience.
We would like to invite you to submit abstracts for either oral or poster presentation at the 10th International Confernece of the EAFP. Full instructions on how to prepare and submit your abstract can be found in the 2nd Announcement. Registration and Abstract Submission Forms can also be printed from this site.
|IF YOU ARE
NOT AN EAFP MEMBER?
If you just want more information on any aspect of the conference you should check out the 2nd Announcement, posted on this site or contact the Meeting Secretary directly at the email address given below. This applies particularly to non-members who are not in receipt of conference literature through the Bulletin of the EAFP.
New members are always welcome and the benefits of membership extend beyond the Conferences. The EAFP produces a two-monthly Bulletin of research papers, notes, field observations, news and views, and scientific meeting reports, which is provided to all EAFP members as part of their membership and is indexed by ASFA and SCIE. The EAFP also periodically produces publications of interest to fish and shellfish pathologists, aquaculturists and anyone involved in this area.
At the 1999 International Conference of the EAFP in Rhodes, Greece, the Quality Assurance Workshop produced an extensive review of what is required should you want to bring your Laboratory under a QA system. Both European and American QA systems were covered. This publication is reproduced here for your information (Quality assurance in fish disease diagnosis).
As a follow-up to the Quality Assurance Workshop, we seek comments on the current QA working document and volunteers who would like to revise the working document to a series of practical guidelines for fish diagnostic laboratories, once we have collected the comments. Please send your reactions to one of the authors of the QA document.
|JOINING THE EAFP
