It is the policy of Microbiology and NUI Galway to provide a safe and healthy work environment by the active commitment of all staff and students to safety considerations in all their day-to-day activities.

The Health and Safety Office, NUI Galway provides a wide range of training courses throughout the year. Among the courses on offer are: Laboratory Safety, First Aid, Occupational Care, Fire Safety/Evacuation.
