Project: "A social history of science in nineteenth-century Ireland".
Enda's current research is on the social history of science in nineteenth-century Ireland. This focuses on the means and methods by which science was promoted by private and public agencies during the period. Of particular interest to Enda are provincial scientific societies, industrial museums, exhibitions of art and industries, the British Association's meetings, public lectures and, government institutions such as the Government School of Science, the Committee of Lectures, Science Schools, and the Royal College of Science. His research interests also include the Queen's Colleges and the Catholic University of Ireland.
