Dr. Kieran Loftus

 

Kieran Loftus grew up in Liverpool, where he went to St Francis Xavier’s College.  He holds a BA and a D Phil in Physics from the University of Oxford, and an MBA from the Open University.  He worked in the UK and internationally for many years, in public and private sectors, successfully delivering complex technology projects in many different organisational contexts.  He moved to Galway in 1999, spending four years with ADC Software Systems where he was a Senior Project Manager working with customers in several European countries. 

He joined NUI Galway early in 2004 as Director of Computer Services.  In this role he led the efforts of the Computer Services team to deliver organisational and technological change, working across organisational boundaries and delivering substantial service improvements.
