Abstracts / Offered papers: All attendees are encouraged to submit abstracts for consideration for oral presentation or for the Poster sessions. Abstracts should be prepared according to these
guidelines. A sample abstract is also provided
here. In line with Irish Division practice, postgraduate students are encouraged to present their work in poster form even if the subject material is not directly related to the meeting theme. There will be prizes for the best 3 postgraduate student posters. Abstracts must be submitted by the early registration deadline of February 19
th to be considered for oral presentation; abstracts for poster presentation can be submitted up to the late registration deadline of March 19
th. All abstracts should be submitted by email to
stefania.spada
nuigalway.ie.
Postgraduate student presentations: Presentations are invited from postgraduate students for the dedicated Postgraduate Session on Friday April 16 th. There will be prizes for the 2 best speakers, both of whom will have the opportunity to represent the Irish branch in the postgraduate speaker competition at the main SGM Autumn 2010 meeting in Nottingham on September 6 th-9 th 2010.
Social programme: The conference dinner will take place on the evening of Thursday 15 th in Cloonacauneen Castle, a 15 th century Norman castle situated on the outskirts of Galway city.
