The 4th International Nursing and Midwifery Conference hosted by the School of Nursing & Midwifery, National University of Ireland, Galway in partnership with Galway University Hospitals and with the Nursing and Midwifery Planning Development Unit of the Health Service Executive (HSE) West will be held on the 15th-16th April 2013 at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, National University of Ireland, Galway.
This conference provides an opportunity for researchers, practitioners and policy makers to get together to learn, debate and share methods of building and promoting excellence in practice. Our third conference held in 2011 was attended by more than 200 national and international delegates. It is our hope that this year's conference will continue to build on that success by promoting national and international scholarship through creating opportunities for participants to network, form new relationships and explore opportunities to work collaboratively.
The scientific programme will be made up of presentations, submitted oral and poster presentations.
The over-arching theme of the conference 'Building and Promoting Excellence in Practice' highlights the importance of strengthening nursing and midwifery practice at international, national, local and community levels.
