To meet today’s and tomorrow’s healthcare challenges, nurses and midwives must be able to source, evaluate and use the best available evidence to support their practice. This module aims to develop nurses and midwives capacity to integrate research into their practice by learning to source, evaluate and implement evidence in their practice. The module is delivered using blended learning and will run over eight weeks. The module is subdivided into four units as follows:
Unit 1: Sourcing and interpreting evidence
Unit 2: Qualitative methodologies
Unit 3: Quantitative methodologies
Unit 4: Developing clinical practice
The module team are active researchers who enjoy sharing their experience of real life research. Dr. Adeline Cooney is module leader.
Target Market
This module welcomes applications from nurses and midwives irrespective of practice setting.
