Taught Masters programmes in Nursing & Midwifery

The School of Nursing & Midwifery offers 6 Masters programmes designed to meet the needs of practicing Nurses & Midwives for their professional development. Each 2 year programme comprises of 3 core modules, a research dissertation and 3/4 modules relating to their specialism. The Masters of Health Sciences (Specialist Nursing) 1 year programme includes a research module and a research project. A Masters qualification is a requirement for advanced practice, to register as a nurse tutor and is increasingly sought as a requirement for promotion as clinical nurse managers. |
