Biography:

Mairéad Hogan is a Lecturer in Business Information Systems since 1996. Prior to joining NUI Galway Mairéad worked in the software industry for 10 years as a software engineer. She also worked as a consultant in Ergonomics and Usability. During that time she also completed a Master’s in Engineering Design, focussing on Human Computer Interaction. She has acted as a reviewer for journals, conferences and research organisations like the European Journal of Information Systems, the Australasian Conference on Information Systems, the International Conference on Information Systems Development and the Economic and Social Research Council (UK). Mairéad is also the Programme Director for the MBS in Electronic Commerce.
