Biography:
| Dr. Simone Salotti received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pisa, Italy (2005), and completed his postgraduate work (MSc and PhD in Economics) at the University of Siena, Italy (2009). Prior to coming to NUI, Galway, Dr. Salotti was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Firenze, Italy, where he developed his recent interest in experimental economics. His main research interests are in macroeconomics
(savings and consumption), fiscal policy, and experimental economics. His recent

Teaching Interests
| Simone is currently teaching Money and Banking (EC369), first year Macroeconomics (EC100/105/136/141, together with Professor Terrence McDonough), Intermediate Macroeconomics (EC268), and Data Management and Survey Techniques (EC515 together with Niall McInerney). He is also one of the two Higher Diploma research project coordinators (EC415/416). |
