Biography:

Ultan Sharkey lectures in Business Information Systems at the J.E. Cairnes School of Business & Economics, National University of Ireland, Galway, Ireland. His research interests include decision support systems for electronic commerce, psychology of decision processes, experiential aspects of information systems and open-source information systems. His primary degree, Bachelor of Business and Legal Studies was granted from the National University of Ireland, University College Dublin. His master’s degree, Master of Business Studies (Electronic Commerce) was granted from the National University of Ireland, Galway. He was awarded a doctorate in Business Information Systems by the National University of Ireland, Galway for research on the optimisation of product presentation for decision making and flow experiences in online shopping systems. His work has been published in the European Conference on Information Systems, the Bled eConference on Information Systems, the IFIP WG 8.3 International Conference on Decision Support Systems and the International Journal of E-business Research.
