Biography:
| Grew up in Bray, just south of Dublin, and studied as an undergraduate and a postgraduate in Trinity College, Dublin. Obtained a BA(Mod) in 1975 and a PhD in 1978 for work carried out under the direction of Prof. Wesley Cocker. After a postdoctoral period working with the CNRS in Paris (Thiais) in the research groups of Dr. Zoltan Welvart and Dr. George Bram, took up a lecturing position in the then University College Galway, now the National University of Ireland, Galway, in the West of Ireland, and is now a Senior Lecturer. 1980-present Lecturer, National University of Ireland, Galway |
