Biography:

“I have enjoyed a varied career path leading to my current position which allows me to exercise a teaching vocation in respect of my great interest in law. Further to this I am engaging in research into constitutionally and otherwise enshrined education rights in Ireland and beyond; the fruits of which I hope will contribute to public debate on this topical issue.”

Thomas Mc Donagh is a graduate of N.U.I., Galway and of King’s College, London. He has taught at second level before going on to work in business and industry. He has particular experience of the London reinsurance market having worked there for a number of years within a specialized unit of a leading Lloyd’s broker. Thomas has worked as a tutor and lecturer at N.U.I.G. since 2004 where in addition to his teaching responsibilities he is undertaking Ph.D. research in the area of education rights.
