Biography:

Senior Lecturer at NUIG Biochemistry since July 2005. SFI Investigator at NUIG Biochemistry since 2002. Postdoctoral fellowship (EMBO), Edinburgh University 1999-2002. Postdoctoral fellowship (JSPS), Kyoto University 1997-1999. PhD (Dr. rer. nat.) 1997, University of Vienna (IMP). MSc 1993, NUIG. BSc (Hons) 1991, NUIG.

Research Interests

DNA double-strand break repair, telomeres and genome stability. Smc proteins. Centrosomes. Analysis of mitotic effects of DNA damage (microscopy and proteomic approaches). Reverse genetics using tissue culture lines.
