Biography:

Dr Adeline Cooney is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Nursing and Midwifery, National University of Ireland, Galway.  Her research interests focus on older people's quality of life, the meaning of "home" for older people  in long-stay care settings, connectedness and older people,  the use of reminiscence with people with dementia, how older people cope with and manage a chronic illness and the development of structured education programmes.  Adeline’s methodological expertise is in grounded theory and qualitative descriptive studies.
