Her work has focused on gender-based violence and sexual health, particularly in relation to gender identity, trauma, help-seeking and recovery. A practice-oriented researcher, she has conducted mixed-methods studies that have led to the ongoing development of community-based sexual health initiatives, in addition to a collaborative dialogue regarding future directions for sexual violence service provision and policy enhancement. Caroline is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher on the Costs of Help-seeking and Economic Impacts for Women Survivors of Domestic Violence in Ireland study. Directed by Dr. Nata Duvvury, this research is a collaboration between the Centre for Global Women's Studies, Safe Ireland and its member organisations.
