Biography:
| I began a Bachelor of Arts degree in NUI, Galway in 1991 and qualified with a joint honours BA in English and Philosophy in 1994. I started a Higher Diploma in Psychology in NUI Cork in 1995 and qualified with First Class Honours in 1997. I commenced a PhD in Psychology under the supervision of Dr. Dermot Barnes-Holmes in 1997. Dr. Barnes-Holmes was appointed as Head of the newly created Department of Psychology in NUI, Maynooth in 1999 and thus I moved to Maynooth in the same year in order to continue my doctoral studies. I received Government of Ireland funding in the last year of my doctoral studies in 2000 / 2001 and was conferred with a PhD in November 2001. I stayed in NUI Maynooth to do post-doctoral research which was funded by the Government of Ireland scholarship scheme. I was appointed as a lecturer in NUI Galway in August 2002. |
