Discipline of Pathology 

The Discipline of Pathology aims to provide an integrated environment for clinical medicine and basic science in education, research and patient care within the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at NUI Galway.

The Discipline delivers the teaching of basic and systemic pathology to undergraduate medical, nursing and biomedical engineers through a number of modules that are integrated with other cognate disciplines.

The Discipline of Pathology also is actively engaged in basic and translational research in the field of cancer. 

The Discipline is closely affiliated with the Department of Anatomy, Pathology, Cytology and Molecular Pathology at Galway University Hospitals (GUH). Academic Consultant Pathologists in the Discipline of Pathology at NUI Galway hold joint appointments with HSE West and GUH.

Pathology can be located on the ground floor of the Clinical Science Institute adjoined to University College Hospital Galway (Further contact details including directions here)
