The NUI Galway group scheme with VHI commences in April and ends the following March each year.
Deductions can be made through the payroll office to pay for your VHI only. You must notify VHI if you wish to arrange salary deductions. Email payroll@nuigalway.ie for the group scheme number before contacting VHI.
Any amendments or request to stop deductions must be informed by the employee to VHI directly.

Charities / Foundations
Please complete Charity Contribution Authorisation Form and email it to payroll@nuigalway.ie if you wish to contribute or make amendments for deductions to the following:
- Charitable Fund / An Ciste Carthanachta
- An Ciste Carthanachta, which was established in 1984, is run by a University-wide representative committee. It distributes monies to local charities each year, normally just prior to Christmas. University staff have made generous contributions to An Ciste over the years and approximately €10,000 is raised annually.
