Following a review of the NUI Galway Voluntary Life Cover plan with our advisors, we are pleased to announce that we have achieved a reduction in premium from the 1st May 2012. Friends First have been selected as the new underwriter.
The Voluntary Life Cover plan offers members the opportunity to avail of additional life cover. The Life Cover benefit is three times your pensionable salary. The premiums will be deducted through your salary on a monthly basis and they will also attract tax relief at your marginal tax rate. The cost of this benefit will be 0.683% of salary.
Example: Pensionable Salary €50,000. Life Cover Benefit €150,000 (3 X salary) = Gross monthly cost €28.46.
