Computers in the College of arts, social sciences and celtic studies
Information technology has become an inherent part of the modern workplace and workers are now expected to have a knowledge of computers as a basic skill. In recognition of this, the College of Arts, Social Sciences and Celtic Studies have equipped 2 computer rooms and offer training courses to students who are unfamiliar with computers.
The College of Arts, Social Sciences and Celtic Studies has a dedicated computer training suite, Room 101 in the Arts Millenium Building, equipped with 28 PCs. Training courses are offered to undergraduate and postgraduate students so that they acquire computer skills.
Undergraduate Courses
These fall into two categories; (a) Optional and (b) Obligatory courses

ECDL courses are available to all undergraduate students for a nominal cost. Further details can be found

Postgraduates
Training is also offered to Postgraduate students either as part of their course work or on an optional basis. The focus of training is on the practical skills needed for completion of a thesis.
