It is for students who are unsure of the area or areas which might most appeal to them. Subject to timetabling, you can take subjects from the Physical Sciences, for example, and combine them with subjects from the Biological Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, or the Earth and Ocean Sciences. Opportunities exist in this programme to choose from the wide choice of subjects offered in the College. Please note, however, that quotas apply to second year subjects in Undenominated Science. What does the Course entail?
Year OneYou take one of the five subject groups that include Physics; these areA: Mathematics, Mathematical Physics, Chemistry, Physics B: Mathematics, Mathematical Physics, Physics, Computer Science C: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics or Mathematical Physics E: Chemistry, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or Mathematical Physics F: Earth and Ocean Science, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics or Mathematical Physics
Year TwoYou take a combination of courses, one-third of which are Physics courses. Other courses may be in the following subjects: Mathematics, Mathematical Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Earth and Ocean Science, Anatomy, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, French, German (this choice may be restricted by timetabling)
Year ThreeYou take a combination of courses, 60% of which are Physics courses. Other courses may be in the following subjects: Mathematics, Mathematical Physics, Computer Science, Earth and Ocean Science , French, German (this choice may be restricted by timetabling).

*there is also an option to take a 50/50 combination of Physics and Applied Mathematics courses, leading to a degree in Applied Maths and Physics
What can you do following Graduation?Physics graduates enjoy very wide career opportunities. All sorts of industry welcome physics graduates because of their scientific, mathematical, computing and problem solving skills. Our graduates are to be found in many careers.
