Student Application, Training and Quality Commitment Agreement and Model Placement Agreement Forms should be completed, signed and submitted to the Placement Office, NUI, Galway each year by

Student Charter (Information for student)
All the rights and obligations of an Erasmus student are in the Erasmus Student Charter, which is given to each student before leaving for his/her study period abroad.

Student Application Form for an Erasmus placement

Training and Quality Commitment Agreement (signed by company supervisor, student and Placement Office).
The "Quality Commitment" is the standard document which outlines the roles and responsibilities of the parties to the student placement.
The “Training Agreement" is a personalised document that includes: the job or work programme to be carried out, the learning outcomes in terms of the knowledge, competences and skills to be gained, the mentoring arrangements, the correspondence of the placement with the studies/degree of the student, the recognition to be awarded on completion, etc.

Model Placement Agreement (signed by Placement Office and student)
A placement agreement (grant agreement) covering the mobility period and signed by the student and his or her home Higher Education Institution.
Documentation relating to Erasmus after departure:

Student Placement Final Report (completed by student prior to finishing the placement).
Payment:
Rates of payment vary from country to country. Grant: €400 per month on average
80% paid upfront and 20% on completion of the Student Final Report.
All documentation except the Student Placement Final Report has to be completed prior to student commencing the placement.
Minimum duration for funding is a 3 month placement and the maximum is 12 months. The grant is calculated over the number of months that the student is employed.
Erasmus LLP funding is only available for placements in EU countries.
