What Our Students Say

Abbie

Abbie McCarey |   Podiatry

I am a second year student. I am really enjoying the course, especially the clinical aspect. We get an opportunity every week to put the skills we learn into practice in a clinical setting. It is really helpful to experience real life patients in clinics and develop other skills such as communicating with the patient. It is rewarding to treat the patients and send them home feeling satisfied.

Andrea Mahon |   Research

I graduated with a 1.1 BSc.(Hons) Podiatry degree from NUI Galway in 2013. During my time I was fortunate to undertake my clinical placement at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine on Scholarship. Since I qualified I have worked in a private practice in Dublin and with the Liverpool NHS Trust. I am currently back at NUIG researching stem cell application in the diabetic foot.
