What Our Students Say
Abbie McCarey | Podiatry
I am a second year student. I am really enjoying the course, especially the clinical aspect. We get an opportunity every week to put the skills we learn into practice in a clinical setting. It is really helpful to experience real life patients in clinics and develop other skills such as communicating with the patient. It is rewarding to treat the patients and send them home feeling satisfied.in Connect with Abbie
Michael Curran | Teaching Assistant and Clinical Supervisor NUI Galway
After graduating with a BSc(Hons) in Podiatry at NUI Galway I went straight the private sector working with two busy private practices in Kerry. In August 2014 I joined the team at NUIG and Merlin Park Podiatry Clinic (MPPC). My work here consists of teaching; clinical supervision and practical sessions with students.in Connect with Michael

During my time I was fortunate to undertake my clinical placement at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine on Scholarship. Since I qualified I have worked in a private practice in Dublin and with the Liverpool NHS Trust. I am currently back at NUIG researching stem cell application in the diabetic foot.in Connect with Andrea
