PAC , the online application system opened on 1 November 2011 to accept applications For Entry 2012. Offer datesNUI Galway does not set a deadline for receipt of applications, with some exceptions. We will endeavour to provide you with a decision in relation to your taught programme application as quickly as possible, via our system of offer rounds that facilitate decision making and early notification to applicants throughout the year. You are encouraged to apply as early as possible. Candidates who do not have their final degree marks available may be made a conditional (provisional) offer. The offer round dates for taught programmes are as follows ( see below for exceptions):
Applications will continue to be reviewed in the summer months if there are still programme places available. If programmes become filled in early rounds (as early offers are accepted) they will not accept new applications and these programmes will then be closed on PAC and also listed on our Closed Programmes Website. Important: new applications will be considered at each round (if places are still available).
When should I apply?Since applications can take at least four weeks to review, if you wish to receive a decision (to a taught programme application) in an early round, you should apply at least four weeks before that offer date. For example:
Important: new applications will be considered at each round (if places are still available).
DepositPlease note: on acceptance of a taught programme offer you will be obliged to pay a non-refundable* deposit to secure your course place (€500 or equivalent for most courses; €1,000 or equivalent for some). You generally have seven days in which to make this payment. This deposit is deducted from your course fee on registration. * If you are made a conditional offer and don't ultimately meet the conditions stated, you will be entitled to a deposit refund. RecommendationsYou should give yourself plenty of time in which to apply, particularly if you are applying from outside of the European Union (EU) and will need to apply for a student visa. You should also allow sufficient time to make any financial, travel, and accommodation arrangements, if you are offered a place. We recommend that you apply early in the year (January/ February) for programmes that start in the autumn (September/October). ExceptionsA small number of programmes have specific deadlines for receipt of applications: (Please note: some programmes below may re-open after a given deadline if vacancies arise. Please check this website for updates).
