HIGHER DIPLOMA IN ARTS (PSYCHOLOGY—FULL)

Programme description

The HDip (Psychology—Full) is a two-year full-time programme for graduates in any field other than psychology. 

Programme aims and objectives

By completing the two-year HDipPsych students will have covered course content equivalent to that offered in the BA (Psychology) programme.

Minimum entry requirements

A university degree in any field other than psychology. Also excluded is the BA with Psychological Studies from NUI Galway (or its equivalent as deemed by the College of Arts, Social Sciences and Celtic Studies), which is intended to articulate with the one-year full-time HDipPsych (Conversion).

Selection criteria

Places are awarded on the basis of academic merit. There is no interview.

Examination arrangements

Assessment shall be by means of written papers and continuous assessment.
