High Efficiency and Power Density Inverter

This project aims to develop a new generation of multilevel inverters. These advantages of multilevel inverters are fundamentally focused on improvements in the output signal quality and a nominal power increase in the converter with improved efficiency.  Cascaded multilevel converters incorporate modular design, high reliability, low harmonic pollution and a wide range of input and output power.  The role of planar magnetics in these converters will also be investigated.
