As President, I am delighted to welcome you to the Web site of National University of Ireland, Galway.

Founded in 1845 (as Queen's College, Galway) with an initial intake, in 1849, of 63 students, NUI Galway is now a thriving institution with over 15,000 students (including students from over 40 countries), taking courses in six colleges/faculties, namely;

• College of Arts, Social Sciences & Celtic Studies
• Faculty of Commerce
• College of Engineering & Informatics
• Faculty of Law
• College of Medicine, Nursing & Health Science
• College of Science

Fearaim fíor chaoin fáilte romhaibh go dtí Ollscoil na hÉireann, Gaillimh. Bunáiodh an Ollscoil seo sa bhliain 1845, agus sa bhliain 1849 d'oscail dóirse na hOllscoile don chéad uair do 63 mac léinn. Faoi láthair tá breis agus 15,000 mac léinn ag freastal ar an Ollscoil (agus mic léinn ó bhreis agus 40 tír ina measc).
