The programme focuses on developing the knowledge, skills and competence of those in training roles. On successful completion of the programme, participants will be able to:

will have to attend 1-day and 2-day workshops throughout the academic year (see
table below). This usually amounts to 8 days in total. There is also an Orientation Day which takes place at the beginning of the academic year in NUI Galway.

Assessment is based on a combination of written assignments, written examinations, online contributions and an end-of-year project.
Successful participants may progress to the Diploma in Arts (Training and Education) - Year 2.
