A Visiting Student is a student admitted to undertake a programme of study normally for one year or one semester. However, a Visiting Student is not being admitted to a programme leading to a Degree, Diploma or any other award of the University. Normally only students, in good standing, of another University or graduates are admitted as Visiting Students.

The notes at the beginning of the information booklet provide an introduction to the principal issues to be considered in selecting courses and to other regulatory matters. Courses are not pre-registered and students have a period of time after the commencement of semester to finalise their course selection.
The menu of courses remains largely the same from year to year, and the structure of the programme will not change. You should therefore consult the course lists together with any restrictions stated. Students having Major or Minor requirements to be completed at this University, especially in Psychology, and in the subjects of English (literature), History, Sociology and Politics, need to be particularly aware of the programmes as offered and any restrictions which may apply to course selection.
