Research
The title of my postgraduate research is "Electrophysiological activity during stimulus class formation" and it is supervised by
Dr. Denis O'Hora and is co-supervised by
Dr. Ian Stewart.
Dr. Geraldine Leader and
Dr. Mike Keane are also a part of my thesis committee.
General research interests include the following:
-
The Experimental Analysis of Behaviour
Language and cognition, electrophysiological activity during stimulus class formation, biobehaviourism, language learning and acquisition of language.
-
Philosophical Issues in Psychology
Mind body dualism in psychology, behaviourism as a branch of eliminative materialism, selectionism in behavioural explanations, a priori truths in psychological research, inter-theoretical dialogues.
Professional Membership
Academic Activities
- Currently organising the first peer reviewed Icelandic journal in behaviour analysis which will also be the first internationally recognised peer reviewed journal in Icelandic. I will edit the field of philosophy, basic research and methodology.
- Currently working with Dr. Kristján Guðmundsson on translating a selection of B.F. Skinners articles into Icelandic to be published by The Icelandic Literary Society.
