We are endeavouring to get your new NUI Galway Student ID Card to you as quickly as possible.
there are 3 main groups of students for ID card distribution, students who uploaded a photo either:
- before September 1st, with a home address in ireland
- before September 1st that have an overseas home address
- AFTER September 1st regardless of home address details
Please see your group below for further information on card distribution.
Photo uploaded before September 1st, with a home address in ireland
All postgraduate students commencing a new course with a valid photograph uploaded on the student record system on or before 1st of September, 2021, your card has been printed.
The distribution of those student cards commenced on 15th of September through a combination of posting out or distributed directly to the Colleges:
a) student with a home address in Ireland - the ID Cards were posted to the home address on your student record.
b) ID Cards that were distributed directly to the Colleges - the respective course instances are listed below in the drop down menus.
c) The Remainder of cards are available to be picked up in Áras Uí Cathail through booking an appointment ONLY ( as per booking link below)

College of Arts, Social Sciences and Celtic Studies
All other postgraduate course instances in the College of Arts, Social Sciences and Celtic Studies: Cards were posted out on 15th & 16th of September to students with a home address in Ireland.
College of Business, Public Policy and Law
The following cards have been distributed to either Reception Cairnes Building (RCB) or the course Programme Director (PD)
All other postgraduate course instances in the College of Business, Public Law and Policy: All other postgraduate course instances: Cards were posted out on 15th & 16th of September to students with a home address in Ireland.
College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences
All postgraduate course instances in the College of Medicine, Nursing and Health: Cards were posted out on 15th & 16th of September to students with a home address in Ireland.
College of Science & Engineering
All postgraduate course instances in the College of Science and Engineering cards were posted out on 15th & 16th of September to students with a home address in Ireland.
Erasmus (1EM1) and Occasional Arts (1OA2/1OA3) Students
Your cards are available to collect through the International Office
Photo uploaded before September 1st with an Overseas Home Address
Student ID cards are available for collection from Áras Uí Cathail for those students with an overseas home address and who uploaded their photograph before the 1st September.

*If you are in the College of College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences and uploaded your photo prior to the 1st of September a member of our Registration Team will be in contact with you directly with regard to sending you your ID Card.
Photo uploaded AFTER September 1st regardless of home address status
For those who uploaded a photo after Sept 1st, your ID card is available for collection from Áras Uí Cathail.
You will need book online and collect your card as per link below.
Please ensure that you are registered for 21/22 foryour programme before you complete the booking form and collect your card.
*If you are in the College of College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences and uploaded your photo prior to the 1st of September a member of our Registration Team will be in contact with you directly with regard to sending you your ID Card.

Attending your appointment
Due to social distancing there is limited availability and we are limiting the number of attendees per hour so it is important that you attend at a time during the one hour slot you have chosen. If you are unable to attend or if you arrive outside of the time you can cancel and rebook for an alternate time. Please ensure that you:

What happens if I am not available to attend any of the collection days?
The Registration Team will contact you to confirm your term address on your student record. They are posting cards from 30th of September.
