Registration is the process of centrally collecting data about students and their courses which the University
uses and maintains. All information is stored on the Student Records System. All students must register to
become a student of NUI Galway.

How will I know how to register online?
|
You will receive an email from the Registration team once we receive your details from the CAO. This email will direct you to our Registration page especially designed for new incoming 1st year students. On this webpage, there is a link to our Online Registration guide (How to Register) and you should read this before registering.

Online registraiton opens on 21st August, 2012, students must register as soon as possible to gain access
to University services such as Student ID card, Library, Blackboard, Access to rooms etc.

I cannot upload my photo online what will I do?
|
- All first year students must load a passport sized photo which will be printed on your Student ID card.
- You can load a photo as you register online or alternatively you can email a passport sized photo into
regphotos
nuigalway.ie along with your CAO number and your name.

When can I collect my Student ID card?
|
- You must register online before you can collect your Student ID card
- Come along to our Student Registration helpdesks, 1st Floor, Áras Uí Cathail on the date specified for your course which is on
www.nuigalway.ie/reg, to collect your Student ID card, you need to bring either your Birth Certificate or Passport with you as we need to verify your details for the NUI, Dublin

I am unable to attend on the appointed day to collect my student ID card, what will I do?
|
In the Online Registration guide, there is a schedule of when students should come to collect their Student ID cards, it's important to come either before this week or on your appointed day.
Student ID cards will be distributed from our Registration helpdesks, 1st Floor, Áras Uí Cathail once you have registered and on your designated day, do not forget to bring along your birth certificate or passport and your PPS number as these will be checked before we can issue you with a student ID card.
