Mieszko, whose work in the laboratory of Thomas Ritter was funded by IRCSET, used viral vectors to prolong the survival of corneal allografts.
Janice and Sinead’s work involved looking at regenerative medicine approaches for orthopaedic applications and was co-funded by the IDA and industry partner Smith and Nephew. The project was led by Frank Barry and Mary Murphy.
