REMEDI in the Irish Times
Pioneering work on reversing the damage caused by osteoarthritis at REMEDI was recently highlighted by the Irish Times.
In an interview with Dick Ahlstrom, Professor Frank Barry explained how scientists at REMEDI are using mesenchymal stem cells isolated from adult bone marrow to develop new therapies to stimulate repair of damaged cartilage in osteoarthritis.
Osteoarthritis is a disease which sees the gradual degeneration and loss of the cartilage that serves as the cushion between bones within a joint.
