REMEDI research Highlighted in "The Scientist" magazine

REMEDI was recently highlighted in the July 2008 edition of "The Scientist" magazine.
In the article, Professor Frank Barry explains how scientists at REMEDI are using mesenchymal stem cells isolated from adult bone marrow to develop new therapies to stimulate repair of damaged cartilage in osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis is a disease which sees the gradual degeneration and loss of the cartilage that serves as the cushion between bones within a joint.
