REMEDI Wins at ScienceSpeak
December 2nd 2008
REMEDI's Eleanor Donnelly was awarded first prize in the recent NUI Galway Science Speak competition.
Science Speak is an annual national competition, organised by Irish Universities Promoting Science, for postgraduate students to present their scientific research to a lay audience. Eleanor’s presentation entitled “Gene Therapy and Spinal Cord Repair” was judged the best among six competitors from several areas of research in the college of science. Eleanor will go forward to represent NUI Galway at the national Science Speak competition in the RDS in Spring 2009.
Congratulations also to Annette Enright (REMEDI) on being awarded second prize in the event.
