Success at CMNHS Postgraduate Research Day

Many congratulations to REMEDI students Paul Lohan and Martin Madill who were award winners at the recent College of Medicine Nursing and Health Science Postgraduate Research Day.

Paul Lohan was joint first prize winner of the Best Oral Presentation along with Kate McDonnell-Dowling from Pharmacology and Therapeutics. Pauls work is supervisor by Dr Thomas Ritter and his talk was entitled “Allogenic cell therapy for articular cartilage defects.”

Martin Madill who is supervised by Prof Sanbing Shen won first prize for Best Poster Presentation for his work entitled “Modelling amyotrophic lateral sclerosis using patient fibroblasts and induced neural progenitor cells.”

Many congratulations to Paul, Martin and all of the other students who took part.
