EuroStemCell

Europe’s stem cell hub: information, education, conversation

EuroStemCell

EuroStemCell is a unique partnership of European scientists and science communicators. We’re developing eurostemcell.org into a dynamic, multilingual hub for information, education and discussion on stem cells and regenerative medicine.

Our goal is to enable European citizens to understand, question and form opinions on scientific developments that impact on future healthcare choices.

Our values are founded on the need for a trusted source of information for non-specialists. We believe in maintaining open channels of communication between scientists and the public. Our activities and resources will be:

Accurate, Relevant, Considered, Inclusive.

Eurostemcell will provide current analyses of the latest scientific developments, ethical issues and regulations. It will bring together stem cell resources, teaching tools and activities into a one-stop shop for educators, scientists and the general public.

We’re here to meet the needs of Europe’s citizens. We welcome your comments, ideas and contributions.

EuroStemCell and REMEDI

The EP7 European consortium for communicating stem cell research, EuroStemCell, brings together the major EU-funded large scale stem cell projects, the European Clinical Research Infrastructures Network (ECRIN), and other internationally recognised European stem cell research centres.  The aim is to create a coordinated platform for widespread spanning research fields of stem cell biology and regenerative medicine.  It focuses on three dissemination routes: the web (www.eurostemcell.org), the provision of resources for direct public engagement and information.

REMEDI leads a dedicated committee tasked to develop resources and dialogue with key audiences and in particular educators on the scientific, clinical, ethical and societal issues related to stem cell research.
