Remedi Regenerative Medicine Institute

Systems Biology Ireland (SBI) is an initiative between REMEDI and University College Dublin (UCD). SBI will ultimately be located between the Charles Institute of Dermatology based on the Belfield campus of UCD and REMEDI at NUI Galway.

The Institute of Immunology based at NUI Maynooth has collaborated with REMEDI since 2004 on inflammation/cell repair as well as cell therapy. Cell repair and cell tissue is one of the two strategic themes for the Institute’s research. The Institute of Immunology is the largest concentration of research Immunologists in Ireland

REMEDI is committed to collaboration with hospitals and clinical facilities in achieving its translational goals. The vehicle for translating regenerative medical research into translational medicine is the Irish Clinical Research Infrastructure Network (ICRIN).

REMEDI in partnership with Smith & Nephew is developing new therapies using adult bone marrow stem cells to promote the re-growth of healthy cartilage and repair damaged joints.

REMEDI has commenced a collaboration with EnBIO developing medical devices and implants with enhanced properties.

REMEDI and Creganna-Tactx Medical are working on developing next generation solutions for delivery of stem cell therapies.

REMEDI has recently established a partnership with the Wake Forest Institute For Regenerative Medicine (WFIRM) in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Part of the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Centre, the Institute is one of the leading centres of research into tissue engineering and regenerative medicine in the USA.

REMEDI has a research alliance with the Mayo Clinic, based in Rochester, Minnesota, USA. The Mayo Clinic is one of one of the world's leading centres for research into regenerative medicine as well translational clinical therapies.

REMEDI has a collaboration with the Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory Center for Living Tissue (GTEC) based in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. GTEC is internationally recognized for its strengths in regenerative medicine as well as novel applications of translational medical therapies.
