Research Project Area: 

Andrea’s research focuses on identifying the transcription factors and their target genes in mesenchymal stem cells as they pertain to commitment to chondrogenesis. This research is part of work package 4 of the Systems Biology Ireland collaboration with REMEDI. The main objective of this research is to develop a better understanding of the differentiation process, thus allowing a more tailored MSC- derived chondrocyte for use in specific clinical applications.
