Mikhail's research is looking into novel therapeutic approaches for the induction of tolerance in cornea transplantation.

Researcher in

Research Project Area:

The development of novel therapeutic approaches for the induction of tolerance in cornea transplantation. This project consists from use of ex-vivo genetically modified viruses which express immunomodulatory molecules as delivery vehicle into the allotransplant and ex-vivo generated tolerogenic dendritic cells or modified mesenchymal stem cells for the induction of tolerance or for the creation of an anti-inflammatory environment in cornea transplantation.
