Thomas' project focuses on the effect of functionalised biomaterials used for stem cell encapsulation in promoting vasculogenesis in treatment groups suffering from peripheral arterial disorder commonly known as Critical Limb Ischemia (CLI) with limited or no limb salvage alternatives
