Socio-Economic and Bioethical Aspects of Stem Cell and Gene Therapy Research
The purpose of this research is to critically explore ethical issues and socio-economic determinants and impacts in the fields of stem cell and gene therapy research. A key motivation of the programme is to inform the research strategy of REMEDI, which ultimately aims to deliver social and health benefits arising from the application and adoption of new technologies.
This professional network brings together people from philosophy, law, sociology, medicine, science and theology to discuss theory, promote debate, examine teaching methodologies, organise events and forge new collaborative relationships between Ireland and the UK.
