The final stage in the Research Lifecycle will often result in the communication or dissemination of research results and or the possible commercialisation of research. Research Support Services' involvement at this stage is managed through the Research Office(IRIS) and the Technology Transfer Office(Research Commercialisation). IRIS (Institutional Research Information System) enables researchers and academic staff to easily maintain an up-to-date CV and showcase their research expertise. A new project to incorporate a Grant Management System into IRIS will launch in Autumn 2013. This new update will contribute significantly towards more streamlined and efficient internal grant management processes.
The Ignite Technology Transfer Office explores and facilitiates commercial opportunities for the research community at NUI Galway, and facilitates industry partnership. Our services assist in the knowledge transfer process for Industry and Investors as well as informing the Research Community at NUI Galway on matters of policy and process
