On the field trip to the Burren,
IDARI students and staff followed a guided tour of the spectacular
landscape provided by expert on the area's ecological and
agricultural uniqueness, Dr. Brendan Dunford. A visit was
also paid to the well known farmer Patrick McCormack, who
together with his wife Cheryl, uses holistic and organic
practices on his farm in Mullaghmore. An evening of Irish
traditional set dancing and music was enjoyed that evening
in Kilfenora and the field trip ended the following day
with a bus tour of the coastal route back to Co. Galway.
