NSSLRL Questionnaire Results Summary 2011
We would like to thank all who responded to the 2011 NSSLRL questionnaire. This is a useful method of determining user needs and should help us improve the service we provide. We plan to repeat the process every three years. We have tabulated and enclosed the results with client identifiers removed.
An area of concern for some users was the turnover time of tests. If there is a delay with an isolate, e.g. unusual phage type, we normally send an interim report. However signing off and posting the reports may sometimes means it takes longer to get the report to you. We may be able to fax certain urgent reports if a letter stating a secure fax number is sent to the NSSLRL. If a faxed report is required on an urgent sample this should be indicated on the request form.
All NSSLRL reports are sent to the laboratory director. However if the director wishes to nominate a different individual to receive the reports on her/his behalf then if the director sends send us a letter or e-mail stating this we will change the addressee.
