• The standard rate of VAT in Ireland is 23% with effect from 1^st January 2012.  This means that we look to the date of invoice to determine the applicable standard VAT rate, i.e., if issued on or after 1^st January 2012 (regardless of whether the work was carried out in 2010 or 2011), the new 23% standard VAT rate will apply.
